What does our research entail?
We explore the links between gait, cognition, mobility decline, falls and dementia using cognitive and mobility analyses. Specifically we are interested in answering the following research questions;
How do cognition and mobility interact in older individuals?
Why are falls so common in the cognitively impaired?
Are we missing a component in the treatment of falls?
Can cognitive treatment (non-pharmacological and pharmacological) improve mobility?
